Bicubic house

This contemporary home blends into its surroundings through balanced, efficient architecture that opens onto the landscape. Its volumes respond to the slope of the site and solar orientation, with a series of interconnected forms opening towards the south-west to maximise natural light and views while remaining protected from the northern winds.

The cantilevered upper floor creates a sheltered entrance porch that facilitates the transition between exterior and interior. The precast concrete façades give the building character and solidity, contrasting with the large glazed surfaces that connect the main living areas to the garden and swimming pool, finished in green Bali basalt.

Inside, the layout is clear and functional: the living room, dining area and kitchen occupy the ground floor, while the private rooms are located on the upper level. The central staircase connects the different floors and allows natural light to reach the basement.

The project incorporates a high-performance thermal envelope, solar shading systems and geothermal heating and cooling, reducing energy consumption while ensuring stable comfort throughout the year.

An essential and serene architecture, shaped by light, materiality and a fluid relationship between interior and exterior.
