Vedruna Bellpuig School extension
Vedruna Bellpuig School had an undersized dining hall that was unable to adequately serve all the pupils, resulting in an excessive number of meal sittings. The existing building has therefore been extended to provide a suitable dining space and a new multipurpose room for the school’s early-years pupils.
The works were carried out during the summer months and completed within a very short timeframe to avoid disrupting the school’s services. For this reason, an independent timber structure with a high degree of prefabrication was selected.
The project also provided an opportunity to refurbish the existing dining hall and functionally reorganise several spaces in order to improve the overall operation of the school.
